Hi All, I have a 1 year old PRS baby. She continues to reflux 2 times a day....and it's a huge huge spit up ....like a river of milk flowing out of her - her entire feed just comes out in one go. It's so frustrating to see it happen. Her entire face turns red, she's crying, gasping for breath, trying to clear her throat and coughing....just really tough to see her go through this half of her feeds every day. She's machine fed via a g-tube.
We tried putting her on a 15% angle wedge but same thing happens. She keeps slipping on it anyways, so it's very tough to keep her stable on it. We tried putting her on an inclined chair but her g-tube started coming out and she spit blood from her mouth the day we gave her a feed on the chair and totally freaked us out, so we've stopped trying the chair.
I was wondering if any of your children are also having massive refluxes and if you've found a solution?
