fear and anxiety in anticipation of birth of child with Pierre Robin sequence

My daughter is around 20 weeks pregnant and has been told her baby has a bilateral cleft lip and cleft palate and a significantly small chin. She is quite overwrought, having trouble sleeping, crying and very worried that she will not have the strength to meet the needs of the child. She is also very worried about all the procedures and pain that the child will have to endure. Can you offer any encouragement?
