I don't have many tips, because we are still working on the spoon with my daughter. However, I would make sure you don't put too much food on the spoon. Give her little tastes and then even give her a quick drink to help wash it down. This is what I do with my daughter. She also like to hold her own spoon too. Maybe others will have more suggestions.
