On November 2 my daughter is scheduled to get her jaw distractors removed! We are ecstatic to say the least. What we thought would take about 2 months has taken nearly 5 months, so we are really ready to be done with the jaw distraction--and hopefully get rid of the trach soon too. Anyway, I'm wondering how noticeable the facial scars are (for those of you with kids who have gone through this procedure). Do they ever revise these facial scars, or are they pretty minimal? Also, any tips on what to expect after this surgery are also much appreciated.
