Sam - agree with Angela. Around the same age, my son developed reflux. You should ask for a swallow study and if he is vomiting, make note of if he is arching his back and if he projectile vomits. Both are sure signs of reflux. If you think he has reflux, see your pediatrician or ask for a referral to a peds GI, they are the experts on these things. My son stopped breathing a couple of times due go vomiting and congestion as well. Kudos to your wife for knowing CPR.

: Sam, sounds like Ashton needs a swallow study.
: Sometimes when you see vomiting ans
: congestion, it's due to aspiration of
: liquids. A swallow study will either confirm
: or rule this out but it's certainly a step
: in the right direction.

: Good luck!

: Hello,
:
: My son's name is Ashton. He is 7 weeks old
: and was diagnosed with prs. He also has
: crainosystosis. His breathing was fine at
: birth and he has been able to bottle feed
: quite well. Last week Ashton spit up and was
: unable to breathe. He turned blue and my
: wife had to preform cpr on him. The Dr.s are
: torn on the options for Ashton. They agree
: his blockage in his airway is moderate. He
: seems to have developed a problem swallowing
: his spit. He also sounds very stuffy like
: there is some congestion. Does anyone know
: if this congestion will pass? If anyone has
: any advice please share, my wife and I are
: beginning to feel overwhelmed.
