My son, who is 4, started speech therapy through early intervention about a year ago. My problem is, it's once a week!! And it gets canceled if the pathologist is sick or they have off school that day! My question is...how often should he be getting speech??? In my opinion I think he should be going to their preschool and getting it every day. There are times when even I don't understand him, which frustrates both of us! He can make pretty much all the sounds, but has been talking so long like this, it's almost like it's habit. When I tell him the correct way to say the words he can say it 90% of the time. I'm so frustrated but feel like I'm stuck since he "doesn't qualify" for more help through them. Any suggestions??
