Our 15-month old daughter is having jaw distraction. We have been turning for 6 weeks and she has developed some major asymmetry in her face. Her left side is 1 cm shorter than the right side and her chin is slanted to the right. Her surgeon is very UNCONCERNED...but we are not very happy. Her chin is very far out and we really can't turn much more without making her completely disfunctional--she is much more "drooly" than before. The surgeon keeps saying things will shake out go back to more symmetry with time. Anyone else have things regress back to the original position with time and how long did it take? Thanks for any help you can give.
