I love how I always second guess everything and think of questions I should have asked after i've left the Dr. hah.
For those of you with tube fed kiddos, I'm just curious as to what your children's GI prescribed for them after 1 year. I went to my son's GI visit assuming he would be put on a second stage formula, but he actually ended up with pediasure. I have heard of it, but am a first time mom so had to go research the nutrition facts to know more about it. I love that it has DHA, but am a little worried that he's not getting whole milk. Also it seems to me that it contains a lot of sugar, for taste-purposes...and I thought hmmm why should he be getting all this added sugar for nothing?? He's not even tasting it?!? Of course i was planning to offer some by mouth but he has terrible food aversion as of now. Then i found they had an enteral version of pediasure (not sold in stores)with a significantly reduced amount of sugar -18g vs 4g i believe- and was just wondering why he wasn't getting that.
If anyone has any experiences with pediasure or transitioning from formula to anything else, I'd love to hear them! thanks
