My son used to grind his teeth a lot. I consulted our dentist, who is part of or cranialfacial team and he said it was not a big deal. He said he would worry if he were much older. It took a long while and but he doesn't grind his teeth anymore.

: My son just turned 4 and had the distraction
: when he was 2 weeks old. The over
: correction from the jaw distraction has
: resulted in a 12mm underbite so lip closure,
: chewing has been a struggle. He is still
: not speaking. Anyway, he began grinding his
: teeth a few months ago and now it is almost
: constant as it appears it is something for
: him to do to amuse himself. Obviously his
: teeth do not line up properly. Has anyone
: else experienced this? Did you consult a
: dentist? I have a feeling I'll be told that
: there isn't much I can do about this but I'm
: very concerned that this will cause quite a
: bit of problems down the road.
