My son just turned 4 and had the distraction when he was 2 weeks old. The over correction from the jaw distraction has resulted in a 12mm underbite so lip closure, chewing has been a struggle. He is still not speaking. Anyway, he began grinding his teeth a few months ago and now it is almost constant as it appears it is something for him to do to amuse himself. Obviously his teeth do not line up properly. Has anyone else experienced this? Did you consult a dentist? I have a feeling I'll be told that there isn't much I can do about this but I'm very concerned that this will cause quite a bit of problems down the road.
