Has your daughter's swelling gone down some today? I know my daughter had some swelling and it took a few days for it to go down. She also had a trach and feeding tube.
Hope her recovering is beginning to go smoothly.

: My daughter had her palate repaired 11 days
: ago and her tongue is EXTEMELY swollen. Her
: mouth is stretched to the max and her tongue
: is hanging out several inches. We were able
: to get a feeding tube in and she has a
: trach, so the immediate concerns of
: breathing and feeding are addressed.
: However, the swelling does not seems to be
: going down and I'm just wondering how many
: other parents have had exteme swelling. How
: long did the swelling take to go down. My
: daughter is extremely uncomfortable and her
: jaw is aching because she cannot close her
: mouth.
