PRS and skin dicoloration

My son has prs. He is now 16 and doing great for the most part. In the last several months, he has started having dark blotches on his back, chest and neck. Shriners hospital wasn't sure what it was and if it was related to prs. Has anyone else come across this with thier children? For all of you that are new parents with children with prs, you are going to be suprised how well these kids turn out and how special they truely are. Thanks for your help, Chryse
