Hello Maria,
Our son had a bronchoscopy about a month ago. His doctors went into his airways via his nose with a little camera to see where the problem of blockage was. After a few minutes they saw that his tongue blocks his airway completely during sleep. He was already on a c-pap, but he still had problems. Therefore they planned the bronchoscopy. Now the doctors try to raise the pressure of the c-pap. Next week we know if this helped . If not he needs a tracheotomy.
We hope for the best.
The bronchoscopy didn't take long. He was at the OK for about 30 minutes.
Good luck

: My daughter is having a Bronchoscopy tomorrow
: morning. The Dr told us that would give us
: more answers. I am very concerned that she
: will need a Tracheotomy. She goes not like
: having a dirty diaper and will cry to let
: everyone know. When she cries and works
: herself her tongue rolls back and blocks her
: airway.

: Anyone know what we should expect from the
: bronchoscopy?
