Thanks for the tips! I tried again with the highchair back and a thicker consistancy, and putting the spoon in further and it worked great! She ate 80% of it!

: Hey Sue....my daugther also had a Tla. She is
: thirteen months old now and had hers taken
: down at 9months. We started at six months
: with solid foods. I started out feeding her
: milk/thin cereal on the spoon just to get
: her used to the spoon/open her mouth. When i
: did feed her for real, a slightly thicker
: worked better. I also leaned her high chair
: back a little until she got the hang of
: moving stuff to the back of her throat. I
: also put the spoon to the side of her mouth
: and that seemed to help also. Once she got
: the hang of it, she was shoveling it in. She
: ate just like any other baby. She is just
: now starting to eat some "table"
: food...stuff that she has to chew. Just
: keep trying and she will get it!

: either dribbling down her chin or coming out
: her nose. Anyone have any advice? We are
: starting with a very thin consistancy. She
