Surgery to close g-tube stoma

My son had his g-tube removed over 2 weeks ago and it is still leaking awfully. It is showing no signs of closing. My little guy is in such pain from the leaking stomach acid. Our GI doctor is planning on closing the hole endoscopically with clips. Just wondering if anyone has had this done? He is scheduled for this tomorrow and I am pretty nervous.
