My son started wearing glasses at eight months of age. He took to them from the get go - this isn't to say that he doesn't take them off or play with them fairly regularly, but I don't make a big 'thing' of it. I just put them back on, and get on with it. I was warned before we started with the glasses that he may not take to them, but stick to it, as it doesn't take long for children to associate their glasses with improved vision and they will eventually want to keep them on. We have glasses with hooks over the ears - we were told not to use a strap across the back of the head, due to choking concerns. We also have glasses which are extremely flexible and the lenses are made of polycarbonate.
Good luck!
