My daughter had tubes placed in January when she was 10 months old. She has always had a lot of fluid on her ears, so they are hoping the tubes will help. I'm not sure that it is really helping, but time will tell I suppose. We have her hearing checked every couple months. So far so good. Good luck to you.

: Hi, my son is 8 months old and is starting his
: second round of antibiotics for an ear
: infection that he has had for 2 weeks now.
: My husband had isolated cleft palate,
: chronic ear infections, and tubes as a child
: so we knew ear infections were in our son's
: future. I was just wondering about tubes now
: I am sure things have changed since my
: husband who is now 27 was a baby.
:
: Does your child have tubes? When were they
: placed? How was the procedure for them?
: Also, my husband has some hearing loss, when
: and how often should I have our son seen by
: the audiologist?
:
: Thanks for your input
