to follow up.. My son is 3.5 yrs and no speaking yet, he just doesn't seem to care about it at this point. Since he had been delayed on everyother milestone I'm not freaking out and figure that he will just do things when he sees fit and not a moment sooner. I too would be interested to know if people with older children have the tongue issue and if their children were delayed in talking, etc. I'd also like to know if your children are big droolers. We have to keep bibs on him constantly. He does drink through a staw but has always used his tongue to suck and never involves his bottom lip. He did have the distaction when he was 2 weeks old. One last question... how many of you went the route of the jaw distaction vs the TLA.

: My daughter who is seven months has the same
: thing, We noticed it at birth but I thought
: that just the way it is with PRS I didn't
: think much of it, I can tell that as her jaw
: comes forward, on its own, her tounge in
: decending down, but because of the extra
: tissue it has nowhere to go. It seems like
: she has alot of stuff in her month, no
: wonder she cant swallow.
:
: My PED and docs had not much to say about
: it...
: Sorry, not much help. But is seems to be a
: problem, in my eyes for my daughter.
