Sierra had her palet repaired on Tuesday. She woke up swinging and NOT in a good mood! She was drinking juice from a syringe immediately. A little pain medication and she was out again. Later that evening she was fully awake and alert! She was drinking so well that they took out the IV the first night. She was up and down all night, seemed like every 45 minutes.
Wednesday I could not keep her locked in the room anymore. We were walking the halls before noon! She was talking, dancing... wouldn't know she just had surgery! She slept 8 hours straight this night.
Thursday we came home. She had mastered removing the arm constraints by now so my Husband got creative with paint sticks and ankle bandages. This seems to work much better and she can't get them off.
Now it is Friday morning and she is not yet awake (slept all night again - she wasn't sleeping all night before the surgery!). I was so nervous, scared... and she just blew me away! She is incredible!
