My son had his pallette repaired when he was 9 mons old. For the first night all he wanted was to be held. The next morning he was himself and all he wanted to do was play. We got to take him home the next evening and once he was home and with his brother it was like nothing ever happened. he didn't even mind the armbraces. I think it was a lot harder on me then him at that point. We did keep him on the Tylenol for 5 days after surgery. I'm not sure how much pain he was in but you could tell by the way he cried he was swallon.
