I agree with getting second opinions! Some hospitals/doctors don't know much about PRS. When you first learned of the diagnosis, you probably obsessed over it as I did and saturated your brain with information. Most medical people are relying on other cases and maybe even their medical school learning which could have been outdated and years prior. The way of thinking is not only changing as the times change but also depending on your region. Good Luck!

: Hey guys...I have been considering getting a
: second opinion for my daughter Kate. She is
: now seven months old and doing really well
: (a chunky 22lbs!) She had a tongue lip
: adhesion done at 3weeks old. I haven't been
: the happiest with my team. I just don't
: think they are as organized or involved in
: my daughters care as I would like. They do
: not plan to do her palate repair until
: 18months. They haven't treated a lot of prs
: babies either. I have been looking into some
: options. The only other hospital that i
: could find that is in "network"
: that has a major craniofacial center is the
: Craniofacial Center at Medical City Dallas.
: Does anyone have any experience with this
: team or know anything about them? Any info
: or advice would be appreciated.
