We just found out last week that our son has a collapsed trachea above the trachy tube. We thought he would be decannulated on Wednesday, instead he will begin surgery to reconstruct his trachea.
Does anyone have experience with this sort of thing? I guess I am just looking for some information. I have been searching online and haven't come up with much constructive info. We are supposed to go to the hospital tomorrow and I don't really know what we are in for. Does anyone know of an informative website on this problem?
I would appreciate any advice.
Thanks
Marni
