Does your hospital have a time to visit with the little ones? We live 2 hours from the hospitals that we use, but I know we have been told we could bring our daughter who is 4. She has had a total of 9 surgeries. I tell her now for her procedures (scopes) and her last surgery was 11/07 just before she turned 4. We let her know they are to help her. We gave her a special stuffed animal just before she was taken back. That is what she held onto the entire time.
It is hard.........
