My youngest son was botn with PRS and is so very different from my oldest. My oldest son (no PRS) hated belly time and didn't really like to be on his belly until he started crawling, which was around 8 months. He would scream anytime we put him on his belly, he'd roll onto his back and then would be fine. Your son may not have any issues with tone, he may just perfer to be on his back. My oldest still perfers to be on his back, he even sleeps on it. However, my youngest we had to have him sleep on his belly because he had difficulty breathing on his back. I noticed that he loves his belly and has developed a lot quicker then my olderst. I'm not sure if it's because he's so small or because he's a belly baby but at 11 months old he's walking.
My doctor said that low tone is associated with childhood problems because the children have problems eating enough to develope muscle tone, so if your son is a big healthy guy he may just hate belly time.
