Well we are home now. The swallow study went okay.. if they even did the right test! GRR...
Here's the thing- the referral from my ped. said a Barium Swallow Video Study. Well today they did a Esophagalgram (sp?). It wasn't video.. they just gave her a little barium and took pictures as it went down. They never even focused on the swallowing. They focused on the stomach and said she has reflux! She has NEVER had problems with it and I think she was just soooo mad and screaming.. thats why some came back up her espohagus. She never spit up! It just showed on a picture. Plus she was laying down. We were there to see why she can only swallow thick and why she chokes when she gets chugging thin liquids. HELP!! Did they do the wrong test? I am totally confused now!!
We go to see my ped. on Thursday so I am going to talk to her and I know I'll get my questions answered then. Actually... I am going to call her first thing in the morning. This is just so strange. From the test to the results. I know she doesn't have reflux problems! Well I'm done venting for now. What do you guys think? Wrong test??
