My grandson is now 3 1/2 years old and has PRS. He has had the cleft palatte repair, etc. but is still nonverbal except for imitating a couple of animal sounds. I have read through most of the message board, and it seems that everyone has feeding issues ( he is also 100 % g-tube fed) but no one mentions speech delay. Is this not common with PRS? At what age do most PRS kids start talking? (even though I know each kid is different). We have always had more of an issue with him being nonverbal that being unable to eat. Do most PRS kids start speaking at a fairly early age?
