Alan Kilpatrick and Kathleen McManus are the titular pair, a musical duo who have been together for decades but are now at odds. The time is 1968, and the two have been reunited for a musical TV show, complete with promos for sponsors and signs asking for applause from the audience. As directed by the reliable Jessica Phelps West, the show can be a bit corny. But the leads are an engaging pair. "Pete n Keely" is reminiscent of real-life entertainers Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme. Both performers are passable singers, but the script relies more on their comic interplay.
