Pete 'n' Keely are indeed fictional characters. They are based on many different couples of the time such as Steve and Eydie Sonny and Cher Lucy and Desi Carol Lawrence and Robert Goulet Louis Prima and Keely Smith etc. I hope you enjoyed the show.
