This part of Jaspurr's and Billy's weight loss plan will be fun - enjoyable for the cats, as well as my son, Lance, who loves playing games with the cats. Jaspurr and his lanky littermate, Joey, already get lots of exercise, chasing each other up and down the stairs, and racing around our large "great room." But there are times when Jaspurr would rather just lie around. On the other hand, Chubby Billy would rather lie around most of the time. The only spontaneous exercise he gets is when he's teased Jaspurr to the limit and Jaspurr chases him around the house to deal punishment. However Billy enjoys play with interactive cat toys, and he absolutely loves da Bird, as do all our other cats. We'll utilize several play sessions a day with our cats, with da Bird and other interactive cat toys, and with some of the suggestions in How to Play With Your Cat If you also share your home with one or more dangerously obese cats, you are encouraged to join us in a safe weight loss plan for them. Please see your own veterinarian first. S/he will examine your cat, and give you a specialized plan of safe weight reduction.
