Limited Edition 4810 Fountain Pen
In honour of the greatest tenor of all time.
Just as Pavarotti wore his black tuxedo with a white bow-tie and white shirt for virtually all his performances on stage, the Limited Edition 4810 also comes in black and white lacquer.
After his performances, he would often wear Hawaiian shirts and large, extravagant scarves. This eye-catching trademark of Pavarotti' is reflected in the gold-plated clip which lies as though draped around the cap. Delicate flower patterns adorn the cone of red lacquer and, together with the turquoise cabochon, are reminiscent of the colourful Hawaiian shirts Pavarotti typically used to wear.
In homage to the five famous operas which brought Pavarotti international fame "Turandot","La Bohème", "Rigoletto","Un ballo in maschera" and "L'elisir d'amore" five gold-plated rings decorate the cap of the Limited Edition. They also symbolise the five impressive tiers, adorned with magnificent ornaments, at the «Teatro Comunale Luciano Pavarotti" opera house, which was named after him in honour of the great tenor.
Before going on stage, Pavarotti would search backstage for a bent nail, and a delicate engraving of this unconventional good-luck charm decorates the 750 solid gold nib of the Luciano Pavarotti Limited Edition.
The concerned pen has never been used nor inked, still sealed in its transparent bag. It comes together with illustrated outer box (stamp is ripped), lacquered wood display box, booklet but without International Service Certificate.
