The Legrand 147 Traveller is the same size as the 146 Legrand but takes Montblanc cartridges rather than bottled ink, designed for convenient travelling, particularly by air. Instead of the piston knob there is a knob which pulls out a tray which takes two Montblanc cartridges, one feeding ink and a spare.
The gold line (trim) Traveller is no longer in production, now only the silver line trim model is made. Personally I prefer the classic black and gold Montblanc. The list price for the 147 is over £500.
The cap band is engraved “Montblanc Meisterstuck” and the clip band “Germany” and the serial number.
The pen is about 14.6cm closed and 16cm with the cap posted.
The 14k two-tone nib is a medium point.
A pen both beautiful and useful.
CONDITION: excellent, both the black resin and the gold plating are in excellent condition and the pen comes complete with the case, outer card box and service guide with blank warranty card.
