A classic early Conway Stewart model 226 in the “cracked ice” celluloid, a lever filler with a medium-broad nib with some nice flex. The clip and lever are gold filled and the 226 has no cap band.
The barrel imprints are clear: “The Conway Stewart No. 226 Made In England”.
Closed the pen is 12.5cm and when the cap is posted, 15.6cm.
A very nice example of an early cracked ice pen and an enjoyable pen to write with.
Condition: excellent, the black and pearl of the cracked ice pattern are perfect and there is no brassing of the trim. The pen has been serviced and fills well and the nib has lots of tipping and writes very smoothly.
