FS: Beautiful Wood Letterbox Inkstand w/2-Hinged Lid Crystal Wells! ((SOLD!))

Greetings from DocNib's PenEmporium! I've come across a number of "letterbox" inkstands over the last 25+ years, mostly made out of wood, but finding ones with minimal flaws are few & far between. The following wood beauty is one of those "few" that has withstood the test of time & will put a smile on almost anyone's face (unless you're a curmudgeon!). Take a look ...

SPECS...
Circa 1905-10, made of what looks like both hard and soft types of wood (Oak or Walnut & Pine), dark stain with some mottled or light areas, 4 screwed-on wood ball feet on underside, hinged lid on center letterbox which has 2-removable dividers inside (for stationery or envelopes), raised beaded edging on both lid & base perimeter, 2-cut/beveled crystal inkwells with hinged blown glass lids and Nickel-plated rims/lips.

Base size is 12-1/2"L x 8-5/8"W x 3/4"H, letterbox angled lid is 11-1/2"L x 4-3/4"W, main letterbox is 10-1/2"L x 3-9/16"W x 4-5/8"H (on the front edge) x 6"H (on the back edge, crystal wells are 1-15/16"L x 1-15/16"W x 2-1/2"H, only a few pin-point chips on well edges, well lids don't quite close flush so some evaporation can occur unless hinges are adjusted, Pewter shield or coat-of-arms indicia affixed to center of lid & is monogrammed with the initials: WHF (or could be FHW as in Frank H. Waterman, anything's possible)...

Recessed square openings where wells rest have cloth liners, minimal wear to all wood surfaces w/no visible dings or dents, a few small very light scratches here & there but none are obtrusive looking, all in all, overall condition is Excellent (something I don't see that often, but any time is pure pleasure...
