It is not how long you have been doing a thing, but your ability to meet the need at the time the problem exist. In church work it is called this......W.H.Y.D.F.M.L (What Have You Done For Me Lately) Folk only remember winners not loosers... Well.... The will to win at all odds is a gift from God... This is found in the Word of God and your daily prayer life....smile Your daily reading of the Word of God gives you that mental fortitude to win Have you noticed those who win all the time and have you noticed those who loose all the time... Yes! It is a mind game..... Your mind determines whether you will win or loose 90% of the time.... Meeting the mental challenge is a process..... Music is a process..... How Well have you prepared yourself for the mission.... Yes! church work is a mission and you must prepare yourself for it....both skill wise and mental wise... Study my program...... Those who win are those who study my program which is a success music program for church musicians... Let me continue to paint this picture.... 1. Church work is designed with a lot of built in problems and faults. Why church people can be petty, vicious, and messey...... The average musician perhaps stay 6 months. 2. Church preachers build their church around their preaching and musicians. If they like you, you stay, if they don't, you go. 3. Church congregations follow the lead of the pastor. What he says tend to set the trend whether it be true or just his opinion or as I say the "Truth as he sees it". Sometimes the preacher is wrong, at your expense. 4. Church politics determine whether you stay or go. Oftentime how well you play the game determines how you will survive or win a given battle. If you loose the war, often times you are dismissed. 5. Survival as a musician is determine by the church class system. If you are a family member in good standing, you win. If you are not a member, fighting the family with your seeds of change, you loose. Well.....My friends....I wish I could stay on this and share more facts with ya....Got to move on... Let me ask these questions. 1. Are you tired of the preacher, boxing you and taking mental shots at you over the pulpit? 2. Are you tired of fighting the same old adversary every Sunday Morning? 3. Are you tired of showing up for rehearsal and no one comes, but on Sunday morning the stand is full and you have nothing to sing and the congregation is tired of you singing the S.O.S... same old stuff. 4. Are you tired of the Preacher puting the blame on you and everytime a musician comes in the door he ask you to move over and let the real musician come to the instrument. Many times in life, it is not how knowledgeable you are about a subject, but instead it is your desire to achieve and win against all odds....
Many times in life, it is your ability to meet crisis head on and resolve them with little or no effort which deterines your success. Oftentimes the answer is not their on the surface. Many times you win because of your reserve that you have in your mental spirit to win.
