I receive hundreds of letters each year from frustrated musicians who want to take their music to the next level.... For various reasons they don't achieve it.. or fail to reach their goal... They just want to play.... If you are one of those who just want to play... Try this.... 1. Get a good teacher....in your area...if that fails... 2. If you can't find one... 3. Start my progam and achieve your goal..the average person who starts my program...is playing well in a year and extremely well in 2 years....NOmrally for a church of 500 or more....it takes time to learn the songs and gain the confidence and get the exposure you need to deal with the devils in the choir...laughin...Yes! you will find folk in the choir can tell you what to do and do it better than you...but Yes!....they can't play.....they evaluate your performance from the choir seat... To: John5852@aol.com Hello Rev Fullard. I know it was God that brought me to your site. I have a great love for playing the organ. I was raised up in a pentacostal church and played for both baptist and COGIC. I really want to know how affective your course is. I am really loving your site and all responses I've been reading. God has been extremely good to me. I play by ear the best I can. My goal is to advance my playing so I'm marketable in assisting any church or pastor that may need me. I always fantasize playing for a big preacher like TD Jakes or Bishop Noel Jones, but now I'm tired of dreaming. I sleep, eat, breath music and every day and I hear shouting music, and gospel songs in my head daily. I can hear those fancy chords in my head, but I don't know where they are at on the organ. I am used to listening to organist like Min. John Peters, Joe"Flip" Wilson, Melvin Crispell, Kevin Bond etc. They got that style or touch that I long for. I have been scar'd in my child hood days from various musicians that were advanced in playing. Which left a mental block on my life for years because I didn't know where to learn from. They would learn all the neat chords,progressions,runs and that so call New York style of playing because they travelled and picked it up from other musicians. Then they would get all the props all around, but they would never show me anything or share their experieince. I was even humiliated by a pastor and ridiculed and talked about while I was the musician for his church. The better organ players would come in on special events, and of course, I had to get up......and then when I did play, they sniggled and made funny faces. Yes, all of this left a SCAR on my life, and I am a born again Christian, Holy Ghost filled and I often ask God to take the ill feelings I have against them away......but I still can remember those days in my youth. REv, sometimes I get confused, I find myself wanting to better my skills just to get revenge, and I know that's wrong. I self taught myself a lot of things from listening to jazz tapes & videos etc. But I am lacking a lot, when it comes to the actually Gospel theory behind what's going on. I want to learn so bad, that I went as far as purchasing a Hammond C2 w/ TrekII perc. Yes, I have a Hammond sitting up in my apartment {Thanks to God !!!} I am real serious about my music, and I want to go places. It's been profesied a few times that I am that anointed musician and that God has a purpose for me in my musical talent. I want God to use me to the fullest within my gift. Can you let me know how much it would cost to start your course. I would like to see myself advanced within 6 months, if that's possible.........to the point where I can get a position at a good church where the word is being brought forth strongly. I am tired of the corporate world, I sit at my desk and think about music all day long, so I know this is what I should be doing. Don't get me wrong, I am very grateful for my job......but I love music soo much. Also, can you tell me the next time you will be in Atlanta, GA area. I will love to attend your workshop.
