Obituary:
GRANBURY -- Martha Emily Boucher Silva departed this earth Tuesday,
July 3, 2001, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral: 4 p.m. Thursday at Lacy Funeral Home in Stephenville.
Burial: Garden of Memory Cemetery in Stephenville.
Mrs. Silva was born in Kermit on March 4, 1958, to Ernest and Ruth
Boucher and spent most of her childhood in Jal, N.M. Emily's life was a
testament to goodness and her sweet nature and strong character will
continue to serve as an example and an inspiration to all who knew her.
She will be greatly missed. Emily loved nature and all God's creation,
but especially animals. She brought joy and love to our lives and the
memory of her beautiful smile and warm, giving heart will live in our
hearts forever.
Her brother, Ernie Boucher Jr., preceded her in death in 1985.
Survivors: Her husband, Michael Silva of Granbury; daughter, Victoria
Silva of Granbury; a very special niece, Emily Vowell of Granbury;
parents, Ernest and Ruth Boucher of Stephenville; brother, Von Boucher
of Odessa; and sisters, Leslie Jones of Jal, N.M., and Laurie Vowell of
Simonton. She will be fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles and
cousins
