Posted by Brian Norwood As most of you who read this message board already know, Ron's daughter, Kelly Willard Bowers, JHS Class of '78, was suffering from terminal cancer. Although the tumor pressing on her spine left her a quadriplegic, she was able to attend her father's funeral with the help of Jal Ambulance Service personnel. She died one week after her father, on Saturday, April 13. Memorials for both Ron and Kelly can be made to Vistacare Family Hospice, 1515 W. Calle Sur, Hobbs, NM 88240.

Sad news to report from Jal. Dr. Ronald C. Willard, a dentist in Jal since 1965, was killed in a one vehicle accident west of Jal on Saturday, April 6. A memorial service was held Tuesday, April April 9 at the First United Methodist Church in Jal. He was cremated, but a headstone will be placed at the Jal Cemetery. He was survived by his wife, Joann, daughter Kelly, son Todd, and two grandsons.
A memorial service was held on Monday, April 15, in the Methodist Church in Jal. Kelly had been a fourth grade teacher in Farmington, and is survived by a son, Clay, of Farmington, her mother Joann, and her brother Todd of Phoenix.
