Just look at a Bulgarian in the Balkans: he has mongol appearance in line with his/her heritage. He/she has appropriated teh Macedonian culture, language and alphabet (based on the Macedonan dialects in Salonica), Macedonian folklore, etc. I can recommend some books for those who are interested. For example: "The races of Europe" by the famed anthropologist Carleton Steven Coon.
