By the way , I would not be surprised , if the bulgarian tribes , clans , and individuals , prior to islamisation or christianisation , were free to practice religion of their own choice , and that religion WAS NOT THE MAIN COMMON POINT of bulgarianity, but rather other cultural atributes , Oecomonical , military , and mutual help issues.

Lots of discussion forums on Bulgars , became invaded by people , who like to eighter present some "new" or revolutionary theories. Some are obsessed with buldozeing everything , what was so far accepted as historical facts (there is nothing wrong to re-examine the sources , and archaeological findings), others trying to push their own agendas. When we add also the saboteurs , who do not want pan-bulgarian idea to be successefull , there is no wonder , we get postings here , which rather take my interest away.Nothing wrong guys , but i hear here for the first time EVER , that bulgarians generally would be ARMENIAN Christians . That theoretically would be only religion, of those settled in areas with immediate contact armenian culture.
Why not arian christians ? It seems to me that bulgars were in contact wit goths , often as enemies , sometimes as alies , intermixing was most likely taking place ...And the goths were professing christianity , as taught by Arianos.
