Thanks for these interesting series of pictures or illustrations of Plantagenet royal burials, Damian! Did you personally take some of those pictures? If so, these are great.
I have a few questions.
(1) The grave of King John.....the little statue of a man lying right next to John...was that of a church minister? Also, at the bottom, under John's shoes, and under what I assume a little lion, was it a rock or something else?
(2) Was Joan of Kent, Princess of Wales, buried near her husband, Prince Edward the Black Prince?
(3) I noticed Henry IV's sculptered right hand was broken off and left three "fingerprints" on his chest. If his tomb is fenced around, how does it happen?
