Today I visited the Berliner Dom. In the crypt there are many coffins from Hohenzollerns. I have laid an orange rose on the coffin of Louise Henriette of Orange and Nassau.
There was also a recent wreath by the Mayor of Oranienburg: ´From the City of Oranienburg to the unforgettable Kürfürstin´
But I am happy that the royal crypts in the Netherlands are closed for the public. In the Berliner Dom (ugly Edelkitsch) it looked like a fun fair. The only exit was via the crypt. Immediately next to it there were the toilets.... And some small stairs up, a souvenir shop.
This woud be unaccpetable for Queen Beatrix: cramped with lightflashing tourists and babbling while passing coffins of her beloved husband or her parents.
I have seen Schloss Bellevue too (outside only). Lovely residence. Tomorrow to Sans Souci in Potsdam.
