I have always wondered about Italy's desire for grandeur and show in combination with the fragile constitutional system (the present Cabinet Berlusconi is the 62nd Cabinet after WWII !).
This should be a perfect country for having a constitutional monarch which embodies stability and continuity while under him all Cabinets can fall in record tempo. But maybe the Italians are satisfied with the Pope and his colourful Court amongst them?

And of course Queen Rania looked beautiful. I'm happy she wore her hair 'up' so that she looks more like a Queen indeed.
