I have no idea if Queen Beatrix has ever attended a weekend or a week at Balmoral. Her son Prince Friso lives with his family (Princess Mabel, Countess Emma Luana and Countess Joanna Zaria) in Kensington.
A few of her very best friends, for an example Lady Elizabeth Anson, do live on the British isles, so we may assume she frequently takes the plane to cross the Channel.
Picture: Prince Constantijn and Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands at the blessing ceremony for the wedding of the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall. The couple observed mourning dress for the late Prince Rainier of Monaco.
According to the RVD (the Netherlands State Information Agency) the invitation was adressed to them (and not to, for an example, the Prince of Orange).
