Oprah,
I just read on Yahoo that you were PETA's person of the year. I also understand that you had a Cocker Spaniel. Did you know that if PETA has their way, nobody would be able to keep a pet? This includes fish in an aquarium right down to seeing eye dogs for the blind. They would all be "set free". As a dog owner and animal lover myself, I think it is important for people to understand that if you have a pet you are not a friend to PETA. You are the enemy. Too many pet owners are misinformed and send donations to a cause (PETA) that is trying to make you get rid of animals kept as pets.
