Dear Ms. Winfrey,
May I begin by thanking you for inspiring so many of my students to become better educated and to become better people. My newspaper staff here at Annapolis High School in Dearborn Heights, Michigan has written many articles in response to stories they have witnessed on your show. You are a true inspiration and I simply wanted to thank you.
One of my reporters, Kyle Esper (whom I have had the privilege of teaching for three of his four years), has exhibited a tremendous amount of potential. As a student, a film maker and as a writer, Kyle has continually astounded me with his efforts. However, his latest work, an article appearing in the November issue of our school’s newspaper, The Cougar Crier touched me deeply.
Kyle wrote a beautiful piece regarding America’s need to elect a man like Barack Obama. Indeed, we are at the epicenter of change and Kyle understands, more than his peers, what this election could mean and has meant already, for the future of our country. Knowing that you are an avid supporter of President Elect Obama, could you please let us know where we might forward Kyle’s article so that this inspirational man might learn exactly how profoundly he has influenced one of the best young minds I have encountered? Any assistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
