I think women are confused if they think that Sarah Palin being a VP candidate is a step forward for women. Sarah Palin was chosen not for her skills but as a token to enliven the ticket and gear up republican voters. So, women are now being used by the republican party. Sarah Palin was not McCain's first choice (maybe not even his second or third). It is his desire to go to any lengths to win that drove his choice. Furthermore, if women vote for the McCain ticket only because of Sarah Palin, they'll deserve the four more years of a failing ecomomy not to mention our horrible standing in the world. Remember, McCain will be president -not Sarah Palin. I for one am switching my party affiliation from Republican to Democrat as the Republicans will stop at nothing to win -including lying and smearing the opponent rather than address important issues.
