Welcome to the
Unofficial Message Board for Oregon State Gymnastics!
This event is going to be LIVE Streamed on USAG’s Subscription service FlipNow ($14.99, total for both days, as a pay-per-view event; and is available internationally & will be archived for viewing later; they used to have a $9.99/mo. option, now the only other option, to watch this event, is their $64.99/year subscription).
An all-around competition will be on Tuesday 9/19 (3:50pm PDT) (I don’t think all gymnasts will compete 4 events, they will compete a minimum of 2 events) and then on Wednesday 9/20 (2:00pm??? PDT) they each compete one (or more) events chosen by the selection committee (and can request to compete additional events).
I am still hoping (wishful thinking) that LIVE Stats will be provided on myusagym.com ... although at this point I'm VERY doubtful since nothing is mentioned in the above USAG release.
After the competition Wednesday "evening", six gymnasts will be named to the 2023 World Team, the 5 gymnasts that will compete at the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships will be named no later than 24hrs before the start of the WAG Qualifications in Antwerp on October 1st (USA starts in Subdivision 2 at 8:45am PDT). Only the top AA gymnast from the first day of the Selection Camp competition will be automatically named to the World Team, the other five will be at the discretion of the “Athlete Selection Committee” (see Section 1.3.3 of this PDF document).
Current list of WAG Qualifiers to Worlds.
TV Coverage of the World Championships in the US should be on Peacock and NBC ... I don’t know how much will be shown, or how much (if any) will be live.
(Here are the selection procedures to select the 5 gymnasts to be named to compete (+ up to 3 non-traveling alternates) at the Pan American Games in Santiago Chile; WAG comp is from 10/22-10/25.)
Go Beavs!!,
Richard
