Welcome to the

was the Pac-12 was OSU's nominee) in July ... then 10 are selected by the committee for Division I (30 total for the 3 Divisions) out if 200+ (400-500+ for the 3 Divisions) ... from those 10, 3 are selected as finalists in September(?) ... the NCAA Woman of the Year is then selected from the 9 finalists (3 Divisions) and announced in October in Indianapolis (the top 30 semi-finalists are honored there)."
Here is the NCAA's announcement of all 543 nominees ...
School nominees named for 2017 NCAA Woman of the Year
Since Taylor is an international student-athlete, OSU was able to also nominate Sydney Wiese ...
I only see 11 nominees from 9 of the Pac-12 schools (229 from Division I) ... so now the Pac-12 has to choose 1 (or 2,if 1 is an international student-athlete). I wonder if Taylor's chances are helped or hurt by the fact that Sydney just won the Pac-12 medal for top female Senior student-athlete?!
Go Beavs!!,
Richard
