Yes, talk about keeping you at the edge of your seat! I was in Palm Springs watching online in my hotel room. I was having Internet problems and was stressing to get it working but I finally got it working 30 or 40 minutes later. I missed Kelsi's routine but was thrilled that Auburn showed every routine! That's pure genius! Catering to the fans so you could watch any routine! All schools take note! 
Floor was a good start we will need a great start at Nationals. Brittney was solid and I think she will be a crowd pleaser at the National stage. Olivia had hops on all her passes she'll be sure to come back strong at Nationals. No punch front out of her 2 1/2 and added two front tucks to get the credit she needs on floor. Lesli short on her double pike to go 9.75 and Melanie continued to impress with a routine once again 9.9! Awesome! Makayla added another beautiful set, her first pass is soooo clean! I love it! Only 9.85 I thought it would go higher, she is so mesmerizing out on the floor. Beavers did 49.1 something (I'm typing by memory as I didn't take any notes) trailing Georgia and Michigan who had tremendous 49.3 starts.
Beavers went to vault where we had just one of six sticks, this will make a huge differrence come Nationals! Melanie step back but her full is huge! can't wait for that perfect stick! It looks awesome! Chelsie our lone nailed vault, fantastic! I noticed one judge threw out a 9.9! I think she went 9.8 Leslie with no doubt one of her all time best jet a small hop on an awesome yurchenko full, 9.85, Makayla, Brittnay and Kelsi all with small hops to go 9.825, 9.8 and 9.85. Those sticks will make a huge difference in Auburn, we can do it!
Beavers still trailed Georgia and Michigan away from first by only two tenths! It's anyone's game and we went to bars in the fifth rotation. OMG what a spectacular rotation for our Beavers on our best event! Hannah continued to impress, awesome ginger and nailed her double tuck! I let out a first of many yells in this rotation! 9.8 Melanie solid set awesome double layout and a hop back. Another 9.8. How about Brittany on bars she has the most awesome handstands and drilled her double pike! Spectacular! 9.85! One judge throwing out a 9.9! Makayla went 9.85 as well with a small hop out of her full in dismount. Enter Olivia Vivian! This routine was perfection! I don't know what the judges want but everything here was incredible! Her handstands perfect! A sky high pikes jeager and she drilled her doublebfront! What else could she do? It was perfection! But the judges onl went 9.9! Stingy! Leslie anchored again and hit her routine to go 9.9 she had troubles on her full pak in the last few months but she hit it perfectly Saturday! Nailed full in and the Lesli we remember on bars was back! Awesome! Beavers nail a 49.3 and finish with a comfortable four tenths lead over Michigan for that coveted second slot. Georgia rocked floor and vault to solidify a top two finish, leaving Michigan and Oregon State battling it out for second place in the final rotation.
Talk about nerve wracking. Beam. Makayla missed her connection and had a few checks to go 9.6. Half the judges gave her the connection bonus while the other two did not. We needed to go big on the next five to assure our Nationals berth. Kelsi who has been so solid, you could see it as soon as she finished her first backhandspring that she was crooked and she went off the beam! Ouch! Beavers have not had to count a fall since an early season meet so we know our Beavers can focus to hit our next four sets, but boy does that keep you on the edge! Meanwhile over on floor Michigan is nailing floor hitting nothing less than 9.8! Judges begin to conference on Kelsis beam score to what seemed like an eternity, Brittany is ready to go but has to wait forvthe green light, she leaves the beam to wait then returns, it's killing me! Finally Brittnay is given the green light. Wow! Talk about handling the pressure. She had a solid set with just a hop in her backhandspring one handed backhandspring to full dismount to go 9.7, we will take it, just three more to go! Melanie cool as can be, hit her punch front and sticks her backhandspring layout step out full dismount! Yes! 9.85! Ties the beam high with our two seniors left to close out the meet. This could be the end of there careers or they can put experience ahead of them and do what we all know they can do. Olivia front layout to backhandspring awesome! Pikes side arial! Nailed and finished with a stuck double twist! Woohoo! One more to go! By now Michigan has finished and Leslie needs 9.825 to solidify second place. So here we go the number one gymnast in the country to decide your teams fate! Could we ask for anything more? Even still I'm glued to the monitor watching every move and every move was nothing less than spectacular! Last skill, full off to the side, stuck! Yes! They can't deny us, it has to go 9.825! It goes 9.925 and Beavers are headed to Georgia!
