I doubt I'll ever understand it (Facebook) ... but I was curious how many people (total) had joined the two OSU Gymnastics Facebook groups ... right now it is (approximately) Group1: 66 Group2: 59 ... with the total unique members being approximately 108 (I may be missing at few?) so there are only about 17 that are members of both groups ... which I think partially supports my point below.
It seems that how this works is maybe 1/2(? maybe a little more) of the people join because they have a strong interest in the subject of the group, the remainder join because one of their "friends" or a "friend" of a "friend" joined ... which to me is very strange.
